don’t stay stuck:
If you are feeling lost and discouraged about where to start: look at your values. What is important to you in the world? What do you want to teach people/tell people/wake people up to? Who do you admire and why? Do they have a boldness that you aspire to? (what's your bold move?) Are they doing something totally unique? How can you embody those qualities?
How do I practice the skills and find out if this should be a business or if I should just let it be my creative art without putting pressure on it? The more you sit on your ideas the more you perpetuate your own doubt and you will never get the answer by sitting on the fence. Follow the curiosities as best you can and let the idea come to life - it drains your energy to squash it down, What pulls you may not become your work, or it might lead you to your most aligned work - or it might just nourish you and heal the part of you that has been told its not ok to pursue your own path. Don't put heavy expectations on you curiosities or expect them (or yourself) to be perfect. Let them lead you to more amazing places and insights and build your confidence. Sitting on them weighs you down emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Play with your ideas and encourage them. What encouragement did you need when you were younger?
Gaining the confidence to put yourself out there and be seen: Get talking about what you do and finding a way to work with your clients, receive payment for your work, and practice practice practice. Where could you go to connect with people? Who do you know that has an audience you could offer to work with? Make a list and get moving on it.
Moving to the next stage of growth in your business: Gain clarity on what that next big step is and declare it. Then, hone in on your unique perspective and skills to connect with an audience who really need what you offer and can become loyal clients. Create an offer (for example limited series of classes, small group work etc) that can bring you an influx of cash to put towards business growth goals.
Tip: be mindful of busy work (like IG posts) that might not actually move the needle for your business. It's more of a gamble with your time hoping a post gets a lot of traction than it is for you to spend time connecting to your ideal clients through other means such as by collaborating with like-minded businesses.
