easier than manifesting with better results
Here's a shift you can make today:
Instead of repeating affirmations about things you wish you had or forcing yourself to do the hard scary thing that future perfect you would excel at - try aligning with and acting on one related thing that feels true and authentic now.
You don't have to fixate and push towards what you want and you don't have to wait until xyz happens to start feeling more capable and confident or even just 1 degree better in your day. All you need to do is look for the evidence that one tiny bit of what you want already exists and transplant that feeling/behaviour/action into the desired area of your life. Fan the flames you do have to create more energy and light where you need it.
Example: you want to be a confident speaker.
Evidence: you tell great stories to your kids.
Example: you want to be a coach for money.
Evidence: your friends all come to you for advice and you have no problem getting paid for the work you do at your current job.
Example: you feel guilty setting boundaries with family.
Evidence: you have great boundaries with your dog.
Ask yourself this:
"Where do I already feel what I want to feel? Where am I already doing what I want to do more of? What am I already sure about? Where in my life do I already find this easy?"
Visualize that activity and take a snapshot of how it feels in your body to be in that moment. The next time you are facing the challenge, call in that state and remind yourself of what is already working in your favour.
Rewrite your belief:
We don't always have to hammer our challenges head-on and white-knuckle our growth. There is a time for learning and external support/advice but more often than not there is a lot we already know and have yet to integrate because we are not yet present enough to do so. We can accomplish a lot with gentleness and using our existing strengths and skills to expand incrementally instead of trying to make great, hard leaps.
Hop off the treadmill for a moment. Take stock of what is already working - of where you already feel what you desire more of.
Work from that truth and see what more is possible.
Words about self-love:
"love yourself as you are" is easier said than done so here is what I offer instead:
if you can't love yourself right now, accept yourself. If you can't accept yourself right now, feel all your feelings. If you can't feel all of it right now, feel just one thing. If you can't feel right now, name one thing you notice. If you can't name or notice one thing right now, breathe. Breathe in breathe out, repeat. That is all. Start where you can, use what you have.
